Department of Cleanness, Landscape and City Planning Magelang established by Regional Regulation No. 4 of 2008. Previous areas of hygiene, parks and street lighting is part of the Department of Environmental Control Magelang. While urban areas are part of the Department of Public Works Magelang.
Subsequently in 2008, the changes in the organizational structure of the Government Control Office Magelang which turned into the Department of Environment Hygiene, Landscape and City Planning. In addition it also established the Office of Environment in charge of the environment.
